Our Mission

We work in coordination with various agencies to identify the needs of the community and the initiatives that will support a healthier hospitality industry. Much of our hospitality community operates on an hourly basis vs. salary and work multiple jobs, on their feet most of that time with little time for breaks or a proper meal. Many hospitality-driven businesses are smaller and not able to provide health insurance or support services for their staff. There is a need to provide support and quality health options to our hardworking employees who do so much to grow our world-class wine and tourism industry that attracts millions of visitors each year.

Our 3 Core values

Education: At the heart of our mission lies a dedication to education. We believe in empowering individuals with knowledge and resources to make informed decisions about their health and well-being. Through educational initiatives, workshops, and seminars, we aim to equip our community with the tools necessary to lead healthier lives. By fostering a culture of continuous learning, we strive to create lasting positive impacts on individuals and the community as a whole.

Care: Central to our ethos is a deep sense of care and compassion for every individual we serve. We understand that each person's journey towards health and wellness is unique, and we approach our work with empathy, respect, and kindness. Our programs prioritize the holistic well-being of individuals, addressing not only physical health but also mental and emotional needs. Through personalized support and nurturing relationships, we seek to create a safe and supportive environment where individuals feel valued and supported on their path to wellness.

Engagement: We believe in the power of engagement and collaboration to drive positive change within our community. By actively involving individuals, organizations, and stakeholders, we harness collective efforts towards a shared vision of a healthier, more resilient community. Through partnerships, outreach efforts, and community involvement, we foster a sense of belonging and collective responsibility for promoting health and well-being. By engaging with diverse voices and perspectives, we ensure that our programs are inclusive, responsive, and reflective of the needs of the community we serve.

Texas Wine Auction supports the funding of programs through Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Services to identify additional American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) in Texas. Authentic winemaking is about a sense of place. Grapes should impart the flavors of where it is grown and growing grapes in our state is challenging. It takes an extraordinary amount of effort to establish new vineyards and those located within registered AVAs that are recognized in the community helps support demand for those grapes. For Texas to compete in the national and international wine community, we must be able to better define areas of origin and provide information and education about the value of these regions. Supporting our farmers means more grapes of increased quality. The Texas Wine industry contributes billions of dollars in economic value to our state. By recognizing additional AVAs in our state the wine industry will continue to grow and be recognized nationally and internationally. This growth allows for continued support of our farmers to get additional acres under vine, which in turn provides additional employment opportunities for residents of our state.

These programs are open to anyone in our community, no registration or program requirements necessary.
